African Brain Care Organization is a youth led organization dedicated to fostering mental health wellness education as well as eradicating stigma around brain disorders. Established in October 2022, the organization envisioned a community where every person lived without fear of discrimination irregardless of their mental state.
Recognizing the profound challages faced by people living with brain disorders, the organization embarked on a mission to provide support, education and resources to the marginalised men and women battling these challanges.
The organization is dedicated to offering comprehensive assistance and advocacy for individuals grappling with brain disorders and mental health challanges.
This is done through community outreach programs, educational innitiatives, and mental health advocacy efforts. We strive to foster understanding, compassion and resillience.
These support groups have helped empower care givers with knowledge and education on how best they can take care of the patients at home.
We hope to establish more groups. Our target is 1000 groups before 2026.
By reaching out to schools and speaking to students about mental health challanges and issue, we have discovered that most students lack guidance and peer to be just what most students need.
We aim to reach 1,000,000 students through this program by 2030
Many people living in rural areas do not get access to health facilities. By bringing help to these areas, we have ensured that no person misses out.
As at now, at least 20 people have benefited from this program.
